Terms and Conditions for Sarawak TRIZ Membership
(As a Registered Association under ROS Malaysia)1. Membership Eligibility
1.1. Membership is open to individuals, students, professionals, and organizations who support the objectives of Sarawak TRIZ and wish to contribute to the advancement of TRIZ methodology.1.2. Applicants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
1.3. Membership approval is subject to the discretion of the Sarawak TRIZ Executive Committee, in compliance with the association’s constitution as registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS) Malaysia.
2. Membership Categories and Fees
2.1. Sarawak TRIZ offers the following membership categories:
• Ordinary Member: Open to individuals aged 18 and above who are passionate about TRIZ.
• Professional Member: Open to individuals aged 18 who have obtained at least TRIZ Level 1 certification.
• Student Member: Open to full-time students aged 18 and above with proof of enrollment.
2.3. All membership fees must be paid in full during registration or renewal for membership to remain valid.
3. Membership Rights and Responsibilities
3.1. Ordinary Members have the right to vote at general meetings and stand for election to the Executive Committee.
3.2. Professional Members have voting rights or eligibility to hold office and enjoy additional benefits such as recognition for their TRIZ expertise and eligibility for advanced TRIZ initiatives.
3.3. Student Members may participate in activities but do not have voting rights or eligibility to hold office.
3.4. Members must abide by the Sarawak TRIZ constitution, these terms and conditions, and any rules established by the Executive Committee.
3.5. Members must respect the association’s objectives and refrain from activities that harm its reputation or mission.
4. Membership Duration, Lifetime Status, and Upgrades
4.1. Ordinary and Professional Memberships are for life. Once registered and approved, members in these categories retain their status without the need for annual renewal.
4.2. Student Membership is valid for the duration of the member’s study. Upon completion of their studies:
• Student members are automatically upgraded to Ordinary Membership.
• If the student has obtained at least TRIZ Level 1 certification during their study, they will be upgraded to Professional Membership.
4.4. Members who are upgraded will enjoy the benefits and responsibilities of their new category without additional membership fees, unless determined otherwise by the Executive Committee.
5. Member Benefits
5.1. Members enjoy benefits including:
• Access to exclusive workshops, conferences, and seminars.
• Discounts on TRIZ training, certifications, and events.
• Networking opportunities within the TRIZ community.
• Access to member-only resources, tools, and materials.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
6.1. Sarawak TRIZ collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Malaysia.
6.2. Member information will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law or association activities approved by the Executive Committee.7. Termination of Membership
7.1. Members may resign from the association by submitting a written notice to the Secretary.
7.2. Membership may be terminated for:
• Violation of the association’s constitution or terms and conditions.
• Conduct deemed detrimental to the association’s objectives, subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1. Disputes arising from membership or activities will be resolved in accordance with the Sarawak TRIZ constitution and, where applicable, the Societies Act 1966 of Malaysia.
9. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
9.1. These terms and conditions are subject to amendment by the Sarawak TRIZ Executive Committee. 9.2. Members will be notified of any changes through official communication channels, including email or the Sarawak TRIZ website.
10. Governing Law
10.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia and comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the Registrar of Societies (ROS).
10.2. Any disputes shall be addressed in accordance with Malaysian laws.
